The Trinity!
by ((Omega)) ini have done some research on the truth regarding the godhead and who the god of the bible truly is.
i have studied all the denominations of christianity, those who deny the deity of christ, and those who don't, those who believe in a trinity and those who do not.
after years upon years of diligent studies i have concluded:.

Okay, here's my question that maybe one of the obvious scholars (and I'm not being sarcastic here) posting to this thread can answer for me. Anytime a discussion of the Trinity comes up I always want to ask, people that don't buy the Trinty don't seem to have any trouble with the Holy Spirit side of it, I mean the Holy Spirit being God's active force (if I remember my JW upbringing correctly). I alwasy said, well, there's 2/3's of the trinity, the Holy Spirit is part of God, goes out from God, but is given its own personality, it can be grieved, sinned against, etc. Why is it so hard to imagine Jesus being the same? Now I'm not saying I totally buy the Trinity, but I don't see where some can just discount it so easily out of hand. The old thing about Jesus praying to himself etc. was explained nicely to me by a Jesuit in that when Jesus was in human form he was human, obviously distinct from God, separated by his humanness. Like I say, I'm not sure really what to make of the nature of God, if there is even one, but to just totally discount the Trinity out of hand seems kind of hasty.

Losing faith in the organization
by parakete ini have been a jw for more than 20 years, but during these past few years i have come to realize that some of the elders and regular publishers are very hypocritical and insensitive.
they have done things that really disgust me.
tare so arrogant that they cannot take any criticism form you.

My mom was just rushed to the Hospital....
by rwagoner in.
and you know how i know...... not because my dad called me or anthing like that..... thanks to years of working in law enforcement/public safety i'm pretty nosey and have a "scanner" in my house that monitors police, fire and ambulance calls.. just heard the ambulance go to my parents house because my mother wasn't breathing properly..... she has renal failure and must go to kidney dialysis 3 times a week.
sometimes for no reason her body simply stops processing fluids and she "fills up" and basically begins to drown from the inside.. i can only assume that this is the case tonight....of course nowdays hospitals wont tell you anything without the patients permission...... keep her in your thoughts....she may shun me but i can't help but worry about her.....

1 John 4:1
by mjl inwent to the meeting this morning and stayed for the talk.
the speaker used a text that i thought was very ironic, 1 john 4:1 which reads " beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they origanate with god, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
" i found this ironic becuase we were trained not to test anything in the publications and never question what we hear from the platform.

Gary, you have got to be kidding me, that was actually said from a platform? These people are even more far gone than I remember.

Are you afraid to watch The Exorcist?
by Pwned infor the longest time i was afraid to see it, and when i did i have to admit i felt 'weird', anyone else feel this way.

Welcome to the board! I rate Exorcist as the scariest movie of all time. I never bought into the whole demon thing as it was preached, I didn't disbelieve that they might exist, but if they did exist I just couldn't buy the stuff that was being attributed to them.

The Watchtower Saw It Coming!
by Englishman inthis article made me smile:.

"ephesians 4:26, 27.. a vicious wild beast is on the prowl.

That might be the single most repulsive article I have ever read. The arrogance, the self aggrandizement, I almost want to print it out just to be able to wipe my ass with it.

OMG! Revelation: A Grand Climax at Hand!
by Swan ini've been out longer than i thought.. when did they publish this book?
what a title!
how freudian!.
-
Big Dog
I guess it depends on the presentation as to how it was recieved. If a hot sister came to my door and asked me what I would think of having a Grand Climax by hand, or er, at hand she probably would have had my interest at that point.

Hey Swan, I mentioned on another thread about this book that I once had a revelation when I climaxed which was much more enlightening that the drivel in the publication you mention.
